Meadow Lake

What a COLD time we had. We went on one final camp out this summer and about froze to death. We decided we wanted to go to Meadow Lake. It is a old ghost town with a beautiful lake at the top of the mountain. We were able to do some fishing, take a few hikes and just enjoy the beauty of it all.

This is a photo of us on our way to upper Meadow lake.

On the trail. What cute kids...

Jaron and his kidos..

Cade, McKay and Hannah made all the way to the upper lake. McKenzie and I went back due to her being so scared of the thunder storm that was over us. It also started hailing on us. OUCH...

McKenzie was the first one to catch a fish. We had a fish fry the morning we were coming home. It was so good. I will only eat fish from there, they are so good and have very good flavor to their meat. It doesn't taste fishy.
Jaron was such a dedicated fisher, he always sacraficed his body to go into the VERY cold lake to unhook the hooks that got snagged on the rocks. My dad really appreciated it too, cause he wasn't about to go into that COLD of water.
This a photo of us at the mouth of one of the mines, that you can go in and see how they dug them out and used railroad ties for support. The kids love going in them and so does there dad. We only had to bribe McKenzie with a bag of starbusrst to go, but she took the plunge and did it.

After we left Meadow Lake, we went to Tendoy, Idaho. Where they have these 2 hot pool that you can take a soak in. They are ionly in the middle of nowhere. But, after being as cold as we where, they said, "it felt really good". I read a good book, and made lunch so when they got out it was ready to eat .

Shoshone Falls

On our way to Glenns Ferry for a family reunion we decided to go to Shoshone Falls. It was really pretty and the kids thought it was cool. Hannah had learned about it in Idaho History, so she was really excited to see it.

Happy 3rd Birthday McKay

On July 10th was McKay's birthday, he decided, he wanted to go swimming at the pool, so guess what, we did. I can't believe my baby is 3.

Our day at the Brigham City Pool

This weekend we spent Thursday night thru Sunday morning with Jaron's sister Valerie and her family in Kaysville, Utah. Then on Sunday we went to Tremontom, Utah to spent Sunday and Monday with Jaron's brother John and his family. On Sunday, we made the famous peach cobbler and turned our eating into a firework/block party. It was good and we had great company. On Monday we went to the Brigham City pool and spent another great day at the pool.

McKay even had fun and found out he could do the slide himself, and I think he went off of it 100 times. (O.k. probably not that many, but close).

Funny boys....

The 4th of July

Nothing like starting the day of the 4th with a Parade. This parade was held in Kaysville, Utah it was really good and long. The kids scored lots of Candy and toys.

You couldn't have a 4th of July with out the famous sparklers. And yes, someone did get burned. McKay knelt down on one that was still hot. But we recovered quickly.

Boys and their fireworks....

A fun day at the Roy pool in Utah

This past weekend we spent the 4th of July with Jaron's sister and brother. On friday, we spent the day at the Roy pool. We had so much fun. There was so much for the kids to do. From Diving boards, slides, kiddy slides and the fun in the Sun. I also had time to enjoyed a good book.

Smile McKay, it's only water. Kenzie loved the slide and playing in the nice warm water.

Nice Dive Jaron...
