Meadow Lake

What a COLD time we had. We went on one final camp out this summer and about froze to death. We decided we wanted to go to Meadow Lake. It is a old ghost town with a beautiful lake at the top of the mountain. We were able to do some fishing, take a few hikes and just enjoy the beauty of it all.

This is a photo of us on our way to upper Meadow lake.

On the trail. What cute kids...

Jaron and his kidos..

Cade, McKay and Hannah made all the way to the upper lake. McKenzie and I went back due to her being so scared of the thunder storm that was over us. It also started hailing on us. OUCH...

McKenzie was the first one to catch a fish. We had a fish fry the morning we were coming home. It was so good. I will only eat fish from there, they are so good and have very good flavor to their meat. It doesn't taste fishy.
Jaron was such a dedicated fisher, he always sacraficed his body to go into the VERY cold lake to unhook the hooks that got snagged on the rocks. My dad really appreciated it too, cause he wasn't about to go into that COLD of water.
This a photo of us at the mouth of one of the mines, that you can go in and see how they dug them out and used railroad ties for support. The kids love going in them and so does there dad. We only had to bribe McKenzie with a bag of starbusrst to go, but she took the plunge and did it.

After we left Meadow Lake, we went to Tendoy, Idaho. Where they have these 2 hot pool that you can take a soak in. They are ionly in the middle of nowhere. But, after being as cold as we where, they said, "it felt really good". I read a good book, and made lunch so when they got out it was ready to eat .
