Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

This year for Christmas Eve we spent the evening with Jay and his family. Jaron helped Mom and Dad make each of the kids a Magnet board for their rooms. They where all excited to get them. My kids have been bugging Jaron for months now to make them one. Well they finally got one. We had a very nice evening. The food was really good too. Too many yummy things to eat and taste.
Also christmas eve, it is tradition we get new Pj's to wait for Santa. Also my parents come and spend the night and spend christmas morning with us. This year Jaron's mom was able to come and join us.

Christmas Morning!!!! Oh the excitement!

Polar Express Night

This year at the Kindergarten, they held a Polar Express day and night. During the day, they wore their PJ'S to school, did activities and talked about trains and recieved their tickets and engineer hats for the polar express ride, that would take place that night. These are some photos from that night. After the trolly ride around town, we went back to the school for Hot Chocolate and cookies and a visit with Santa.

Her is Kenzie and her friend Abby Thornley.

Christmas Traditions

The annual Brower's Christmas party at Mom and Dad's house. It is always good to see everyone and catch up with those you don't see all the time. Mom always fixes a nice dinner, we exchange gifts, and of course Santa has to come and see what all the kids want for christmas.

McKay finally went to tell Santa what he wanted for christmas.... A Cars' Race Track

Kenzie making sure Santa know what Little Pet shops are.....

This year the kids for gifts from one another, they did a candy exchange and the adults did a $5 gift exchange as well.

Later that night we went to the Live Nativity. Every year the different churches around the community put together a family night down at the grove. You get upon a horse drawn wagon and drive through the park. There are different stations, talking about the birth of our Savior. The kids love it and look forward to it every year.

This year we also went to Rexburg, Idaho and saw Jaron's grandma (who will be 100 years old in April). We had such a nice visit. She is still so on the ball with things and remembers things so much better than I ever could. Jaron's mom went with us and it was really nice spending the afternoon with her as well.

McKay of course was on the break down part of the day.... No smiles from him, he wouldn't even look at the camera.

Kenzie's Christmas Play

Kenzie was a cute little lamb for her Kindergarten Christmas Play. The play centered around the Mother Goose Nursery stories at christmas. Her line said, "Baa Baa, Here I am Mary, Baa Baa"
She did such a good job, and she sang the songs very well. It was cute and fun to watch. One of the most unique things about the play was right in the middle of the play the smoke alarm went off, the kids had to leave and the parents stayed seated. The sad thing was, the computer lab had overheated and set off the smoke alarms... which was right below where the parents were sitting.....

Tis the Season...

Every year it is tradition that the first Monday or Tuesday night(which ever Jaron has off from work), we decorate the tree. The only rule is that everyone has to be in their pj's first. It is so much fun to reminise with each other, while decorating the house. This year we let each of the kids decorate their own tree downstairs, with their own ornaments. They thought that was great. Everytime someone comes to the house they grab them by the hand and haul them downstairs to see (their) tree.... I don't have the bow up on the tree yet in this photo, but it arrived later. I also bought some new ornaments this year, so not only was the kids happy, Mom was happy too.... I just love Traditions...

Hannah Helping with the big tree.
McKay, doing his part...

Cade, helping mom put up the foil garland.....This is the garland Jaron and I bought the first year we were married, so it is a must to be on any tree we decorate....I will always treasure this part of the tree.... We even have ornaments we bought when Jaron and I were on a dance tour to Europe. Oh the memories that this season creates.

A time to give THANKS!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving.... I don't have any photos, so I am just going to reflect upon the things we are so thankful for and the things we have accomplished this year. The year has blown by so fast. Before we know it 2010 will be upon us. A lot has happened this year. Here are somethings we have been able to do with our kids and some memories we have made along the way...

*This year we have done a lot of remodeling for Jaron's Mom. When Jaron's dad died in February unexpectantly, they were in the middle of a big remodel. I am so thankful Jaron and I have had the opportunity to put are carpenter skills to use. I am greatful Jaron and I work so well together. You usually don't see us do too many things apart. I guess you can say we are inseperatable. Jaron is such a carpenter and I admire his many talents daily.

*Wrestling all over the place starting in January until April, and being able so see our son learn and do something so well. It was fun to travel, and meet and see new and old friends, along the way.

*Being greatful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and know that we will see Jaron's Dad again someday. He has truely been missed by all.

* Watching our oldest become a young lady and also share her love of Dance with us all. This spring we also traveled with her to many competitions and recitals. She is so talented and so blessed that she is willing to share her talents with all.

*Spring break in St. George. We went with some dear friends and visited Zions National Park, Snow Canyon and some other fabulous places. The kids, and all of us, had a nice break and was able to take and see, some of Gods, great creations upon the earth.

*We were also very blessed to go with some friends to Vegas over Memorial Weekend. We loved every minute of it. The warm weather, to the great friends that were there to share it with.

*I am so thankful for my Husband of 14 years. In June Jaron and I celebrated our big day by dinner and a movie without Kids.... I love this man ,and am so greatful he chose me to spend eternity with. I am looking forward to many more years together.

*I am greatful for Family Vacations. We went to Yellowstone National Park and Meadow Lake and many family reunions. I am so blessed to have a family that will share my love of camping and spending time together.

*I am glad that McKenzie could go to Kindergarten this year. I was so worried she would have so many struggles, with all the new learning she would need to do. Needless to say I worried for nothing. She is doing so good, she is such a sweet spirit in our home. We are truely blessed to have her with us. She says the cuties things and does some of the funniest things. If you ever need to laugh or smile, she is your girl. She has so much love for life and love for everyone. She is truely a daughter of God.

*I am thankful for the Job my husband has, and for all the hard work and pride he has for his job. This fall he accomplished one of his many life goals. He became a Captain for the Fire Deaptment that he works for. He is also almost done with his Masters Degree. He should finish it up this May. He has accomplished a lot more, but I could spend hours trying to type it all.

*I am so greatful for the opportunity I have to be a Stay At Home Mom... It has it challenges, but I would not trade it for the world.

*I am also thankful my testimony in Jesus Christ.

*I am thankful for McKay and I know some days I feel like I could drop him off on a cornor and leave him. But, I know my life would be very dull....Because with McKay there is never a dull moment. He is always doing something, and into everything, and challenges me daily with patience. (I guess that is one of the things you ought to be carefull praying for.) I am greatful that this year we have been able to spend some mommy and McKay time alone, since he is the only one left at home.

*I am also thankful for football season, for the chance we get to watch Cade play, and the great Boise State Games we watch and attend.

*Last but not least, for the Family and Friends we have, and the great influences they are in our lives. We could not survive without you.

Halloween 2009

Boy, do we love Halloween at our house... From dressing up, to going to parties, to just plan embarressing your kids on Halloween.

Every year I dress up and show up at the schools for my kids' parties. This year the girls and I went a little TuTu crazy. Hannah, was Cyndi Lauper, McKenzie was a cute witch, I was just a punk rocker, with really Bright Pink Hair. I love the fun my girls and I have together!

Jaron on the other hand was a biker dude without a bike. LOL!!!! You look great in eye liner honey.

Here is the whole gang on Halloween. We also have a tradition of going to my Mom and Dad's for Mini Pizza's. My Mom having the grandkids and great grandkids come and make their own pizza's. They love making them and the kids love eating them.

Doesn't my Family look awesome!!! Cade and McKay are my Boise State kids. Cade dressed up as a Football player and McKay was Buster the Mascot!!! Boy do I love my boys!!!

Captain Ricks

At the beginning of Octobr, we learned Jaron had been offered the job of Captain for the Fire Department. We are so proud of him. He worked really hard for this promotion and is very dedicated to his career.

Happy Birthday Jaron

This year for Jaron's birthday we made a trip to Bronco Stadium. Yes, a BSU game. It was very cold but of course the Bronco's had a winning game, which was the icing on the cake. Boise played the Idaho Vandels. After the game, Jaron and I went out to eat with a friend from High school and his date. It was so nice to catch up and just visit. The next morning Jaron's cousin and her husband took us to breakfast. It was a great weekend, It was nice to get away....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH

On the 10th of September 11 years ago, Hannah came into this world and has blessed our lives ever since. She is quite the pre-teen. She got lots of fun things for her birthday. We spent the morning getting one of her molars pulled at the dentist, (it was the only day they could get her in, and it was hurting her). That afternoon we spent the day at the fair. If you are familiar with the E.I.S.F. you understand that you live, eat and walk the fair. The food is very, very, good and fattening... On the 11th we had friends and family get together and have Pumpkin Muffins and Ice Cream, (just another true sign that fall is in the air). We had a great visit and she had a great birthday thanks to all of you.

Can you just say GREEN, she loves that color...

Lights, Camera, Action!!!!

Got to love the E.I.S.F. Parade. Hannah looked so cute in her Hot Pink, Black and White

Yellowswtone Here we Come

For Labor Day Weekend, we decided to take the kid to Yellowstone National Park, for one last hurray... It was so much fun. We went to the North Entrance (Mammouth)this time which was something we have never done before. We also went to Fishing Hole Bridge, Old Faithful, lots of Geysers, Mud pots, and Thermal Pots. "Boy do those stink", as McKay would say...

Firehole Water Fall near Madison.

Stinky Thermal Pot.....

Got to love the Yellowstone Sunset we enjoyed, one night.

You can't go to Yellowstone without seeing good Old Faithful. Also, there is a little resturant that is in one of the gift shops just down from the Old Faithful Lodge. It has the best food. And you know us we LOVE to eat....

I just had to show this, McKay had a thing with sticking out his toungue for almost all the photos we took that day. If we didn't let him he would cry or frown for the photo.

The first day there, we took the kids to the Yellowstone Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center. They had so much fun. Totally worth the money. We also paid $2.00 for the kids to be able to go hide food for the bears. They also hide birdseed high up in a tree, to show the kids that grizzlies can climb trees. Pretty scary...

Upper view of Firehole Falls

Buffalo Anyone???? Can't go to Yellowstone without seeing a herd of Bison.

The bears the kids hide food for.

Hiding the food.

We also let the kids do a program called Junior Rangers. They take this workbook, fill out 4-6 pages (depending on your age) while going through the park, attend certain movies, ranger talks, see some geysers, read some material ect... When you are done you go to a Ranger Information Station and they swear you in as a Junior Ranger. They recieve a Patch that is quite nice, and they present you to other visitors. The kids loved it....

Receiving their Patches.
