Every year for Family Home Evening we set up our christmas trees. The kids have small trees downstairs that they decorate with their ornaments. We also have a big family tree upstairs that mom gets to decorate with what she wants. The kids also help with that. I love this tradition. Sometimes we have to break it up into 2 nights or days depending on how much time we have or what we have going on. This year we did it on saturday. Due to the next week were leaving for Disneyland.
Cade received his Arrow of Light Award this year. This award is the highest award you can receive in Cub Scouts. He was able to share the night with 2 other scouts, Travis Phillips and Reagan Reese. We are so proud of him and for his accomplishments.
This year for Halloween, Jaron and I were in Oregon for Uncle Tom's funeral. So Grandma Brower was on Halloweem duty. We didn't get very many photos but here is what I do have. Cade was a skeleton, he couldn't were is mask at school but he did for trick or treating. McKay was a really cute Giraffe, and McKenzie was our Southern Bell. Hannah was a sweet Micheal Jackson, but we have no photos of her.
Well life at the Ricks' is busy as usual. As most of you know, Jaron and I have 4 very active kids. Hannah is now 13, Cade is 11, McKenzie is 7, and McKay 5. So need I say more. Jaron is now the Health and Safety Officer for the INL Fire Department. He was able to complete his Masters Degree in 2010. I am a stay at home mom who loves to make scrapbooks and also look on Pinterest for new recipes and get some great ideas for the kids. I also have been able to help more at the schools. I teach P.E.,Music, or Art once a week at McKenzie's school, I love it. I hope I am better at blogging, than writing in my journal. We love doing things with our kids and the joy it brings to Jaron and I. I hope we can keep track of all the many things and accoplishments they do. We love our little family and hope you enjoy sharing are ride through life. Hope you enjoy our blog.
